HEHS gears up for homecoming week

High schools across the country are ramping up school spirit in preparation of homecoming and Hoffman Estates High School is no exception.

During Friday’s all-school Homecoming Kick-off Assembly, HEHS cheerleader and poms members energized the students with a fantastic routine, followed by the Skyhawks and Hawkettes. Students rallied with enthusiasm for the upcoming week.

Also, the homecoming court of six males and six females was announced, with voting for king and queen taking place this week. The court members were among a number of students who were chosen by club sponsors and teachers for showing outstanding, noteworthy characteristics. The student body chose the court last week, voting online via Infinite Campus.

The fun does not end there. This week kicks off spirit week. Today students are wearing their best camouflage. Tuesday is pink out; Wednesday is all about animal appearances; Thursday is for putting on the big top; Friday remains reserved for HEHS blue and orange.

Don’t miss Monday’s Film on the Field, Tuesday’s Volley for the Cure, Wednesday’s Powder Puff Game, and, of course, the homecoming game against Fremd on Friday. The school itself is also dressing up as clubs and activities are putting up hallway decorations on Thursday.

Hoffman has a week full of exciting events to give the circus time to set up for Saturday’s homecoming dance. Don’t miss out!
