From wanting to be a pediatric cardiologist to being a part of swim, water polo, band, Tri-M, and more, senior Riya Patel has created a ripple effect of passion through her goals.
By being in an ensemble, Patel has been able to understand the lasting value of hard work and dedication.
“I have learned how to teach myself how to do things independently because I realized that keeping yourself accountable is important,” said Patel.
However, Patel has spread that responsibility throughout her community, as she highlights that “working together as a team and keeping others on track is just as important.”
By having a positive attitude, Patel’s influence has made a lasting impression among others. She spreads optimism in the Hoffman community, displaying her compassion while still chasing her goals.
“I’d like to say I’m smiley, kind, and joyous because I really try to be happy around others and bring out their enthusiasm,” said Patel.
