What’s your talent/act? What made you decide to do it?

Julia: Singing because I wanted to perform in front of the school.

Olivia: Singing and harmonizing with me playing the piano. We did it because we love to sing and we wanted to be a part of something this year to do with theater.

Are you nervous to perform your act?

Julia: I’ve sung in front of people through choir and musical, so I’m pretty used to it.

Olivia: I’m very nervous. I’m not used to it at all.

What expertise do you bring to your act?

Julia: I’m in choir and take voice lessons. I’ve been singing since I was little. This is my first year [in Variety Show].

Olivia: I have been singing my whole life and have been playing piano for about six to seven years now.

What kind of practice schedule are you keeping? Is it hard to keep up with schoolwork?

Julia: My partner and I worked hard over the summer, so there isn’t a lot we have to do now.

Olivia: It’s very difficult because we both have fall sports and hard classes.

Julia: We can do homework during rehearsal, so it’s not that bad.

How will you know you are ready for Variety Show?

Julia: I feel ready because of all my practice — and the song isn’t that hard.

Olivia: I feel ready now, I’m prepared and excited!

What are three adjectives/words that best describe your act?

Julia: Strong, suspenseful, and unique

Would you recommend Variety Show to other people?

Olivia: Yes!

Julia: Yes, it’s been really fun so far.
