Synergy. That was the theme carrying the HEHS cross country team through its season.

“When one of us made a new personal record, we were all bound to have that same success and that happened every single day,” said Alan Wagner, who finished up his senior year by competing in the final conference championship after competing all four years.

The team members this year were heavily committed to supporting one another, as demonstrated by their efforts to show up at conference and sectionals to cheer on their teammates, even when they themselves didn’t run those events.

This effort paid off for one another as they lived up to their goals of setting new personal records and clearing the way for a fantastic season.
