Luka Sparavalo and Evelyn Simon were crowned this year’s Homecoming Royalty at Coronation. Ashley Oliver and Elyssa Wuerffel were voted Most Congenial.

After Evelyn Simon and Luka Sparavalo were crowned Royals at this year’s Homecoming Coronation, Evelyn Simon reflected on the experience as well as took a look back her time at HEHS.

Question: How do you feel about becoming homecoming royalty?

Answer: Well, I mean, we all saw it coming so… you know I’m not too surprised!

Question: After graduation, what will you miss most about Hoffman?

Answer: Definitely the sports and the community we have within sports culture. Shout out to my swim girls and water polo girls! You guys are the best!

Question: What is your favorite memory from your time at Hoffman?

Answer: Definitely wrestling and breaking my wrist because it was pretty funny; it was pretty cool doing something that I love and getting hurt even though it [was challenging].

Question: What’s your biggest achievement from your time at Hoffman so far?

Answer: Definitely going out and trying new sports and definitely just making a bunch of new friends.

Question: How do you feel about becoming homecoming royalty?
Answer: It feels overwhelming, but it’s such a good feeling. I’m so happy that I won. I’m so glad that I get to represent my school this way.

Question: After graduation, what will you miss most about Hoffman?
Answer: The community and the sense of unity…

Question: What is your favorite memory from your time at Hoffman?
Answer: sophomore year with my basketball team

Question: What’s your biggest achievement from your time at Hoffman so far?
Answer: Becoming homecoming [royalty]. I’m so glad that I was able reach people and for them to vote for me and see who I am as an individual. It makes me really proud.
