50th Kick Off Celebration Brings Hawks Together

Hoffman Estates High School kicked off its 50th anniversary with a large celebration filled with attractions and spirit.

When the celebration was announced, “it was a pleasant surprise that there was such a large event for the first week of school,” said Kailey Whalen, Sophomore.

Hawk Boosters provided inflatables including a climbing wall, mechanical shark, human foosball, and human hungry hippos. There also was roller skating, a live band, The Dynamix, corn hole and an opportunity to hang with friends. Attendance reached a total of 1,038 students.

The 50th Kick Off Celebration has set the tone of the 2023-2024 school year.

“I’m so excited to see what this school has to offer us, as we’ve already had so much fun in the first week,” said Kaylee Bomicino, Freshman.

The band also was loved amongst students, “my friends and I really enjoyed the music that was played throughout the event. I’m glad they were able to come” said Azhar Ahmed, Sophomore.
