As winter sports come to an end at HEHS, members of the girls basketball team take a thoughtful moment to reflect on their season—specifically highlighting their celebratory senior night.
The dedicated seniors of the HEHS girls basketball team were appreciated and honored during their senior night which acknowledged their multitude of accomplishments throughout their time on the team.
“My senior night felt super special because it was a time to reflect on all the hard work and memories I’ve made throughout the season,” said Ella Steel, senior. “Being surrounded by friends, family, and teammates celebrating together made it even more memorable.”
Not only did this senior night provide an opportunity to honor each girl’s individual contributions to the team, but it also allowed the players to thoughtfully recall their bright experiences and achievements during their time with HEHS basketball.
“The main highlights of being a part of the basketball team at Hoffman have been building connections with my teammates, and winning games together as a team,” said Olivia Ingraffia, a senior on the team, “when we all come together and work hard, we have a very positive outcome of games which is always very memorable and exciting.”
The underclassmen and coaches of HEHS girls basketball made a grand effort to ensure a special senior night for their girls, decorating the gym with customized posters unique to each senior player alongside full bleachers abundant with supportive family and friends.
“What made my senior night special was the fact that my teammates came together and put so much time, work, and effort into making sure my senior night was the best. From my poster, to my basket, they did it all,” said Ingraffia. “Then seeing them cheer and get excited for me when I walked out was something I’ll never forget.”

The girls basketball senior night was a memorable way to conclude the season. Although the seniors have ended their HEHS basketball career, the valuable lessons they’ve learned on the team will follow them in every endeavor.
“We also won the game on senior night which made it even better,” adds Ingraffia.
