The boys cross country team has always been making Hoffman proud. During the Lake Park Invite in mid September the team came in 3rd out of 23 teams.

Success started at the Lake Park Invite but continued when the team met up with Fremd. On September 16, six Hoffman runners placed in the Top 10. With new members and the young team is poised to continue making strides. Coach Brenden Mariano says that his team is very closeknit this year, which allows them to support each other and help each other grow to be the best they can be.

Although the runners individually set their goals, their overall goal is to make it down state as team. This can only come from their hard work in practice, which they participate in everyday.

Matt Peterson and Bryan Gamboa strive to be role models for the rest of the cross country team. They say that they are committed to motivating their team and hope to build trust and confidence within the group. Individually, they hope to make top fifteen at state this year. The cross country team has already worked exceptionally hard and have excelled in multiple meets. There is no doubt that they have to ability to reach and obtain their goal.
