On Thursday, September 18, the Hoffman Estates High School girls’ swim team hosted its second annual ALS fundraiser, which raised just over $1,300 for the Les Turner ALS Foundation of Chicago.

This year the event took place at the dual meet vs. Conant High School. The pep band kicked off the event by playing during the swim warm-ups, and the entire Hoffman Estates Varsity Football Team also came out and cheered on the lady Hawks during the swim meet.

The fundraiser was started by JV Swim Coach Kristen Houle, Special Education Department, in memory of her father, Larry Houle, who passed in August 2013 from ALS.
