This year’s fall play Rumors is a comedy, complete with physical comedy and a slew of puns. HEHS has not produced a comedy in a while; in fact, the last time the theater department performed one was back in the spring of 2003. Something special this year is that freshmen with their IDs can watch for free.

“We believe that this will be a great introduction to the theater program,” said Christina Ordonez, the director of the play. We thought this play would be enjoyable for any teen.”

The story revolves around the relationships between the characters and the rumors about them. There are hilarious moments, such as when one of the characters throws out their back and is crawling across the stage, or when another character’s hearing is deafened and he has to repeat every other sentence just to figure what’s going on.

All in all, the play offers an opportunity to laugh and is a great show to watch with friends. It is PG-13, so leave the little ones at home.
